DISCONTENT IN AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. Auckland, March 4. It is feared that the Volunteer Easter Encampment manoeuvres in Auckland will be a failure. A large number of men are holcuug back because Government requires half a company’s strength in attendance before allowing any pay. Lc there are less in each company the men of the respective companies receive only free rations. J?be mounted squadrons complain that the camp is not allowed to counG w as part of their annual training camp and will uot participate unless compelled to do so.
