LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
RANGI.TIKEI ELECTORATE. WANTED—A CANDIDATE. SIR, —It is quite time we were geting a candidate in Die field for the Raugitikei seat. We want a farmer sound on the Socialistic business. At present we, a community of farmers are represented by a chemist, and an absentee at that. If not a Socialist, our member follows the lead of those who are, so that there is not much to choose between them. The next election will be a fight largely between Socialists and autiSocialists or really between those who have some stake in the country and those who have not. The best man we can put in the field is Mr John Marshall if ho can be induced to come forward. Mr Marshall has proved himself a first-class mam during his long connection with local government in Raugitikei. He is straightforward and reliable, sound on the land question, and could be trusted to take a very firm staud against any Socialistic humbug. We must be moving, or some windbag in want of £3OO a year may come forward.—l am, etc., PIONEER. Hunterville, February 28.
