Per Press Association. Wellington, Sunday Night. Determined efforts wero put forth with great success to make the Hospital Saturday and Sunday in Wellington this year eclipse all provious collections. Yesterday tho passer-by was accosted at every corner by ladies armed with red-cross-labelled boxes, and £240 was secured in addition to boxes from tho hotels yet to be emptied.

On tho Basin Reserve this afternoon, tho various bands gave their services and 5,000 to 0,000 pooplo attended aud lady colletcors assiduously worked among thorn, adding largely to yesterday's total. The crowd was addressed by tho Hon. T. W. Hislop, Mayor, and the Hon. C. M. Luke, M.U.0., Chairman of tho Hospital Trustees.
