MAURICEVILLE COAL.
! an enthusiastic expert. Per Press Association. Mastertou, December 9. A coal expert named G. 11. Perry, with long experience on the West Coast and in English coal mines, visited the Mauricoville coal deposits on Saturday and considers the prospects highly oncoxrraging. Samples obtained of the best coal in the new seam at Mauriceville lie considers will be quite equal to Coalbrookdale. He is also satisfied that little difficulty will be experienced in finding ] the necessary capital to develop the resources, the value of which, the expert declares, have hitherto been greatly undor-estimated. Tho coal hitherto obtained and generally considered of indifferent quality, and practically of little value, the export alloges, is quite equal, if not superior, to Mokau coal.
