MARTON BOWLING CLUB.

CHRISTMAS TOURNAMENT. A holiday attraction for Christmas week at Marton will he tho first bowling tournament to be conducted by Marton Bowling Club. It is expected that this fixture will bring a large number of visiting bowlers to Marton, and no doubt considerable interest will bo attached to the various games. The tournament will commence on Boxing Day, and will be continued to the end of the week. Six rounds will bo played in tho rink tournament, and the winning rink will receive four pairs of silver mounod -bowls or four gold medals of the same value. A pairs tournament will also take place, and prizes have been donated by tho President (Mr J. McEldowney) and Mr F. KH Brice. If time permits a single tournament will also be played, the winner 'to receive a gold medal. The rules of tho Northern Bowling Association will be followed during the tournament. Nominations have been invited from all associated clubs. As Marton is a very convenient centre for a tournament it is anticipated that largo entries Wilt be received.
