WANGANUI AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION.

Evidently the executive of the Wausrauui Agricultural Asscciation do not intend to allow the grass to grow under their feet in the endeavour to perfect all arrangements for the Annual Show whiolfjfcakcs place ou the 13th aud 14th of November. The grounds committee paid a visit to the racecourse on Thursday afterj noon and as a result decided on makI ing scvoral additions ami alterations j for the comfort and of I all concerned, amongst which is a i ladies' cloak room, situated in one ! of tho stalls near the grandstand. Another innovation which will havo . tho effect of silencing any questions that might otherwise come under discussion, will be the institution of the turnstile system for the purpose of checking admission. Six of these turnstiles are now ou baud, and they will be placed in position shortly. With regard to the catering, Mr W. S. Dustin has already set about the preliminary work in a thoroughly systematic manner, and to that end will have erected outside the enclosure two large marquees, one for dispensing a first-class luncheon and the other where a refreshing cup of tea aud a sandwich may be pai'tken of, and, of course, the ordinary luur cheon will be served as usual in the commodious room underneath the grandstand. As previously pointed out, intending exhibitors should make no mistake about the time for the closing of entries—-Saturday, 2nd November—and Whatever information may be desired on this matter will be promptly and courteously supplied on application to Mr Selby Morton, at tho offices of tho Association, Haddington Chambers, St. Hill street.
