WELLINGTON INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.

WnniaxaroX, September 17.

The annual meeting of Wellington Industrial Association was held to-night. The Hon. J. P. Luke, speaking to the motion tor the adoption of the report, expressed his appreciation of the Government’s action regarding tho new tariff. He believed that the tariff was noffhltogether in keeping with tho desires of some members of tho Association as it did not go as far as they desired, but ho considered the new tariff would considerably improve the position of the Colony’s industries. Mr F. C. Crease was elected President for tho ensuing year. The incoming committee was instructed to take steps towards re-forming the Industrial Corporation of New Zealand.
