IMPLEMENT INQUIRY BOARD.
Per Press Association.
Christchurch, September 17. The meeting of the Agricultural Implement Inquiry Board to-day was attended by 10 witnesses from all parts of Canterbury, and by some from the North Island. Mr Russell, solicitor, made a statement on behalf of Mu, Justice Sim (chairman), that Mr J. G-. Wilson, president of tho Banners’ Union, a member of the Board, was absent through illness. As tho Board was constituted by Act of Parliament as of five members, the absence of Mr Wilson made a postponement necessary. Application, therefore, had been made to the Commissioner of Trade and Customs to fix a fresh date for meeting as soon as Mr Wilson is in a- state to attend. Thursday or Friday next was suggostod._ There was considerable dissatisfaction among intending witnesses that Mr Wilson’s illness" was not made known earlier, thereby obviating loss of time and money to witnesses.
