Duxi'din, September 7. . At the meeting of Otago branch of the Farmers’ Union it was decided to advise the Labour Bills Committee of their willingness to give evidence concerning the tration Amendment Act. The Executive further expressed the disastrous effect on the farming industry which would ho brought about by bringing agricultural labour under the Act, and decided to urge the Government to bring in an amending Bill to exempt agricultural labourers.
