MARION BOROUGH COUNCIL.

A special meeting was held last evening. Present: The Mayor (Dr. Skermau) Crs. Gould, Sutcliffe, Gibbons, McEldowuey, Hilton and Lyon. „ _, It was resolved (Ors. E. W. Broad wrote asking for gas to ba installed in his now residence off Wellington road.—Resolved (Crs. Lyon—Sutcliffe) that in the matter of supply of gas to applicants this Council is prepared to place electors within borough boundaries on tho same footing as borough ratepayers aud to consider individual applications for gas within such boundaries on their merits, immediately when sufficient number of signatures of electors in tho proposed extension have boon obtained to ensure the carrying out of such extension.
