FISHING REGULATIONS.
Per Press Association. Wellington, September 2. In reference to the regulations gazetted last week limiting the number and weight of trout to bo taken in one day, it is poinTed out that these regulations are simply the general ones in support of New Zealand licenses which enable tho holder to fish throughout the country, but these licenses are subject to local regulations where any exist. A holder cf a general license fishing in Wellington or Canterbury waters will have to observe Ihe Wellington or Canterbury regulations. It is only in districts where there arc no local regulations that the limit of twenty trout or twenty pounds weight laid down in last week’s gazette will operate.
