THE WAR AGAINST TRUSTS.
Press Association —Copyright. New York, August 10.
The United States Court of Appeals granted an application for a writ of error in recent Standard Oil caso. This is interpreted to mean a checking of a year's effort to collect tho enormous fine.
London, August 10. The Financial Times says that tho enormous Standard Oil fine predisposed the Wall-street magnates to let the markets slide, thus retaliating against the Government's attack on trusts.
[Judge Landis, in his judgment, imposed a line against tho Standard Oil Trust of 20,210,000 dollars.]
