Per Press Association—Copyright. London, August 10.

The Tariff Commission's report on sugar and on" confectionery has been issued and expressed the opinion that all interests would bo greatly benefited from the adoption of the system of mutual preference, which by increasing sugar cultivation in the British Empire will give the consumer a larger choice of supply, rendering him less dependent on foreign sugar and securing the markets of the Empire for its own sugar producers and manufacturers.
