LANDS FOR SELECTION.

Auckland, July 31, Several additional sections and blocks of Crown Land in Auckland district tvili shortly bo available for selection applications for sections in AVaimana settlement will bo received on August 3th, ana a week later threo more blocks lying to the south of Opotiki will bo opened.' Judging by tho number of selectors already entered for those lands competition at tho ballots will bo keen. On August 28th a small reserve in Kaweno will bo opened for lease under tho Public Reserves Act, and ton small sections ini the township of IVnharoa will ho offered for sale on tho same date. A section o( -130 acres in Okawia settlement near Matamata and one of 328 acres in Punui district near Otorohauga, will bo available on September IStb. A section in tho “ Returned Troopers’ Block,” Otanake S.D., will bo offered on tho optional system up till August 7th. Tenders will bo received for tho purchase of kauri and other milling timber standing on parts of blocks XV and XVI, Maungataiwha S.D., Omalmtu State Forest.
