Per Press Association. Gisborne, June 7. At an inquest on a seven-months-old infant, named Marshall, the mother stated that she left the child in charge of a uurso girl with instructions to give it half a teething powder during the day. This was given hut the child took convulsions and died. A doctor deposed that the appearance of the intestines was consistent with ' t tho possibility of the child having received an irritant poison. The inquest was adjourned for an analysis to be made.
