The winning team has been greatly improved, and a number of new players made their first appearance for the season on Saturday. With only a few minutes to go it looked as though the game would result in a draw till Moho, the Albion centre three-quarter, broke away and scored between the posts. No goal resulted. Prom the kick out the ball was returned by Frankland, who followed up his kick, and obtaining possession scored another try without opposition, the Sandon players thinking tho ball was out of play, owing to the spectators being on the field of play. The kick at goal was a failure, and the game ended Albiou 6, Sandon nil. Mr Woods made an impartial referee. Rongotca and Awahon lnetatKongotea, the homo team being defeated hy 10 to 3.
