About 15 members took part, and fired seven shots each at 200, 500, and 600" yards, the prize list being so arranged that each member would receive either a trophy or a cash prize. In"the evening the members entertained Mr F. Purnell to a smoke social, - vice-president Mr G. Williams presiding. During his five years' connection with the club Mr Purnell has done a great deal to advance its interests, in addition to acting as handicappper.
