CHINESE REBELLION.

The rebels have been defeated between Aruoy and Swatow with 700 killed. Two thousand drilled troops have reached Swatow. The trouble arises from the failure of officials to distribute food in famine districts. The British and American fleets are concentrating at Pakhoi and the ports in Southern China in event of the trouble-spreading.
