WEDDING BELLS.
Wilkinson—Funstcn. The marriage of Mr Alfred Wilkinson, youngest sou of the late Mr Matthew Wilkinson, Manchester, England, to Minnie Taylor, only surviving daughter- of Mr Thomas Fuustou, a well-known resident of Martou, took place at St. Stephens’ Church yesterday afternoon, the ceremony being performed by the Von. Archdeacon Towgood. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked very neat in a cream serge costume, trimmed with silk and lace, and wore a pretty cream picture hat to match, and carried a choice shower bouquet of white roses and maidenhair fern. The bride was attended by Miss Gibbous, wearing a violet costume trimmed with white silk and lace and a white felt hat, with violet and chiffon trimmings, and carrying a shower bouquet of white roses and violet asters. The bridegroom was supported by Mr Arthur Fuustou, brother of the bride. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a handsome greenstone dagger brooch, and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle set with diamonds and sapphires. A reception was held at “ Daysy Bank,” the residence of the bride’s parents. Afternoon tea was dispensed, and the usual toasts honored. Mr and Mrs Wilkinson left for their new home, “ Grange Hill, ” carrying with, them hearty good wishes for their future happiness. The bride’s travelling dross was an electric blue tailor-made and burnt straw bat trimmed with corn-flowers and ribbon to match. Numerous and costly wedding presents, including cheques, were received.
