GARDEN PARTY AT KIMBOLTON.

Exceptionally pleasant weather greeted the inhabitants of Kiiuboltou district, when an exceptionally largo number assembled at Mr E. H. Orabb’s residence, Moorfleld, for thd Garden Party which was given in aid of the Presbyterian Ohnrch fund. Everything had been arranged for an enjoyable time, and afternoon tea was served nudor the trees in the garden. Numerous games and competitions wore indulged in, and a few swimming races were held in the lake which is conveniently situated at the rear of Mr Graph’s house. A sale of work stall was presided over by Mrs Middlemiss and good business was done, as was also the case at the produce stall, presided over by Mrs Burns. In the evening the grounds were beautifully illuminated with Chinese lanterns, and a very lino concert programme was given by a number of inhabitants and the members of the Presbyterian Church choir from Feildiug. The programme was as follows; —Song, Mrs F. Mcßeth, ‘‘ If All The Stars Wore Mine;” pianoforte duet, Misses J. Bray and James; glee, “Hail, Smiling Morn,” Feildiug choir; song, Miss Bray; song, Miss James, “Two Cities;” trio, “A Little Farm Well Tilled, ” Messrs James, Haswoll and Bartholomew; song, “Killarnoy,” Miss Johnston; Maypole dance, Kimboltou school girls; glee, “Sweet and Low,” Feildiug choir| song, “ The. Gift,” Miss Coomb; pianoforte solo, Mr McKenzie ; song, ‘ • The Rosd, the River aiid the Sea,’’Miss Bray; glee, “Moonlight and Music,” Feildiug choir; hymn, “Rock of Ages;” ami “ God Save the King.” Mr L. E. Jackson then proposed a hearty vote of thanks to all who had assisted, and the host and hostess, for whom three cheers were given. It is estimated that receipts totalled £3O.
