Eangiwahia Sports, March 18th. Utiku Sports, Easter Monday, Ist April Dunedin Amateur Meeting. (Per Press Association). Dunedin, February 17. The twenty-second annual sports of the Dunedin Amateur Athletic Club were held on the Caledonian Grounds on Saturday afternoon. Light rain unfortunately spoilt the attendance, which only numbered a few hundred. The turf was heavy. Following are the results of the principal events:—22oyds Championship of Otago, (D.A.A.C standard 23 3-osecs, N.Z. standard 23sec,) first heat.: W. J. Okane 1, H. G. Burk 2, H. McCorkindale 3. Only starters. Won with plenty in hand. Time, 24 3-ssec. Second heat: W. J. Munro (Christchurch) 1, S. F. Bass 2, A. Hoaro 3. The only starters. A good race won by a yard. Time, 24-seos. First in each heat and second in fastest heat "were only allowed to start in final which was therefore contested by Okane, Munro, and Bass. Okane with inside running, held tie race all the way winning by a yard from Bass with Munro close up. Time, 24 l-Ssecs.
100 Yards Flat (final) : Meed, syds, 1; Price, Byds, 2; Hears, lyds, 3. Won by inches. Time, 10 2-sseo. Long Jump Handicap : Euddick, Ift !)in, 19ft Sin, 1; Eoid, 2ft Gin, 18ft 2in, 2 ; P. C. MoLachlan, Ift 6m, 18ft 1-Jin, 3.
