Callaway’s suspension was removed and the secretary was ordered to forward notice of its removal to the selectors of tho New Zealand Cricket Council. Callaway will now be chosen to bowl in the test match. First Test Match. Christchurch, February 18. The first test match M.C.C. v. Heavy rain in the night and again in the morning delayed the resumption of the match, Mavylebone v. Wellington, till 11.50. The wicket is sticky and likely to get much worse as the sun dries it and tho outfield is very soft.
Collins run himself out in the first over for seven. Williams was bowled by Branston for three, Cohcroft and Laws then made a good-stand and at lunch two wickets were down for 72 —Cohcroft 32, Laws 38, extras 2.
