MARTON SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of above was hold last evening. Present: Mr .T. J. Macdonald (chair), Eav. D. Gordon, 'Messrs iS. J, and G. M, Davenport, Morgan, Way, Eichardson, Dolby and Little, The headmaster reported that the attendance since the holidays had not been good owing to the prevalence of infectious diseases and the fact that many children were still absent from the district. Mias McDonald was granted leave of absence. • • The committee approved of .the Marton cadets going to the Exhibition provided the headmaster could make sausfilctol’y arrangements. It was decided to grant a whole holiday on St. Patrick’s Day, March 18th, and that the school excursion to Wanganui Heads bo held on February 27th, and that the schools at Porowa, Makirikiri, Greatford, Croi'ton and tipper Tutaonni bo invited to join.
