WAIUKU V. PUKEKOHE
WIN FOR THE FORMER
On Saturday last a team of Waiuku tennis players visited Pukekohe V play a friendly match with the home teem, which resulted in a win for the visitors by 8 games # to 3. Results are, Waiuku mentioned first in each instance: -
Combined Doubles.- Ohison and Miss A. Neil beat W. P. Hopkins and Mrs Bayly, 9 - <i; Howden and Mis; Campbell beat B. P. Hopkins n.-id Mrs Campbell-Smith, 9-5; Barnaby anc' Miss R. Neil beat A. Nod well and Mis. Zinzan, 0-5; Williams and Miss Wood beat L. J. Bayly and Miss 01ohcrt, 9 5. Ladies' Doubles. -Misses Camobel' Hid A. Neil beat Mesdames Baylj •nd Campbell-Smith, 9 G; Misses R. Neil and M. Wood lost to Mrs. Zinzan and Miss Olfthcrt, 10- 12. dents' Doubles.—Ohison and Wiliiams lost to Hopkins and Hopkins 4 - -d; Howden and Barnaby beat Nod well and Bayly. 9-2; Herrold and Yilson beat Clarke and Fear, 9- 6.
' Gents' Singles*—Herrold beat E. Clarke, 9- 3; Wilson lost to R. G. V Fear, 3- 9.
Totals.-Matches: Waiuku,-8; Pukekohe 3. Games: Waiuku, 89; Pukekohe 68.
Afternoon tea provided by thf ladies was duly appreciated.Owing to pressure on space the results were held over from our last issue. *
