promenade concert composed of hum orous and other items will be give: in the evening. The bazaar will b • pened by the Mayor of Pukekohc Mr. C. K. Lawrie, at 11 a,m. Sue' a worthy cause should merit imbli support. '
GRAND CHORAL FESTIVAL. 'MESSIAH" AND "ELIJAH.' 7 A grand choral festival, under th -.uspices of the Auckland Choral Sr -iety, comprising two fine oratorio; Messiah" and "Elijah," will bo he' in the Auckland Town Hall on Tue: -lay, December 14, and Thursday, Dc cember 16.
This festival will be one of th grandest musical events ever pre duced in Auckland, and the promoter hope that a large number of peoph residing in the country districts wi' avail themselves of the opportunit" of enjoying a music|[ vocal treat sue' us comes on rare occasions only. Th' two oratorios are the greatest work: of their kind, and two of the ver front-rank singers of to-day will h< assisting, namely, Miss Amy Evan; and Mr. Fraser Gange, two of th< leading singers from Great Britain The box plan is now open at Richard son's, 110, Queen Street, and the tick | ets (see advt.) are 5s and 3s.
