PUKEKOHE BOWLING CLUB.

TO-DAY'S TOURNAMENT. The PuKekohe Bowling Club s tournament opened to-day in dull, windy and showery weather. Soon after the commencement intermittent showers of rain fell, and together with a strong south-westerly wind, matters became very unpleasant for' all concerned. Nevertheless some first-class play was witnessed, and some keen and exciting games eventuated. On behalf of the Pukekohe Club, the president, Mr. James Roulston, extended a hearty welcome to the visitors, and trusted that their visit to Pukekohe would be a very pleasant one. The bowlers were motored to Mr. T. Pollock's residence on the Pukekohe Hill, where luncheon was provided by the club. The club is very much indebted to Mr, Pollock throwing his residence open to. a crowd of enthusiastic bowlers.

Twenty rinks, from Pukekohe, Devonport, Ponsonby, Waiuku, West End, Onehunga, Whangarei, Waikino, Wanganui and Carlton participated. Considering the unfavourable conditions, the green played extremely well. Results up to the time of going to press are as follow: Section At
