AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN A. AND P. SHOW.
• ♦ DECEMBER 3rd and 4th, 1920. In this issue we publish the dates of the Auckland Metropolitan A. .md P. Show, which is to be held on the Campbell Showgrounds, Epsom. The schedule has been revised, and several new classes have been added. The prize money has been increased in all classes; £IOO has been allotted to the Dominion hunter. Dairy cattle have not been forgotten. The champion bull and champion cow in each pedigree class has been given cash prizes tanging from £lO 10s to £ls 15s. Two new classes have been inserted for factory butter and factory cheese. Thirty pounds have been given in each class, and this should draw good entries from the dairy factory managers. The best judges have been engaged for all classes and should give entire satisfaction. Owing to the increased rates of postage schedules will only be sent to exhibitors and those applying for same. Members, unless exhibitors, will therefore not receive the schedule by post as before. The association has erected a cattle pavilion at a considerable cost where cattle will be housed. An ample provision has been made for green feed. Exhibitors should have nothing to complain of in that respect. The services of the Temperance Gurads Band have been engaged to supply music on "People's Day," and the catering is in the hands of Mr. Sinclair, of Epsom. Exhibitors will assist the secretary by sending in entries as early as possible. Entries for the Whangarei Show can be made with the secretary on the Showgrounds, Epsom, on December 3 and 4.
