The Auction®#ing Co., Ltd., At our weekly sale ? j&i Friday we had exceptionally heavv entries of pips and poultry. Prides had a downward tendency, whifw poultry the prices were last week's. Our yard commodation was taxed to its linlf^jP it. I - v IS Pips sold at: Weaners (small) 17s to 22s 6d, good weaners 30s to £2 2s 6d, slips £2 10s to £3sptores £2 15s J to £3 15s; about 250 entered. Poultry: Hens (light) 3s to ; 3s 9d, heavy 4s 6d to 5s 6d: r(fosters 3s to 6s 6d; ducks 4s 6d to 6s.
Produce and vegetables sold at
usual rates. Apples, 7s to 8s case. With the very heavy entries in pigs, poultry and produce we had not time to deal with furniture and sundries.
To meet the increased dqpiand the directors propose erecting the pig pens in the company's section, next Mr. Heating's, where more accommodation will be available. *
