PAPAKURA MUSICAL SOCIETY.
LAST WEDNESDAYS CONCERT. The Musical Society held their first concert of the season in the Methodist Hal! on Wednesday night last, and proved in every way to be a huge sneers*. The hall "was comfortably filled, and the audience, by the wa\ they received the at lists, were highly pleased with the enteitainmenl. Much of the success of the evening was doe to Mr. T. C. Seaton. the conductor, and to Mr. W. Crawford, the secretary, who worked enthusiastically right up to the evening of the entertainment. Owing to the shortage of space a detailed report of the programme cannot be '.liven, but a special note of praise is due to Mrs. ('. Crawford and Mr. T. C. Seaton. who we're in exceptional voice, and they rendered "In This Hour of Softened Sp'endour - ' in a most finished manner. The male quartettes, and part songs by the Musical Society were'also well received. It, is understood that it is the intention oi' ihe society to give a conceit in Pukekohe in the near future.
