FRANKLIN COUNTY ELECTION
PROPOSED NEW RIDING
IMIOMAIiI.E CANDIDATE. (From din Patumahno Correspondent.) The time I'm the county election is getting nearer, and names of candidates are being mentioned for the different ridings. We learn on reliable authority that the old Mauku Road Hoard district, including Patumalioc, Mauku and Waiau districts, which will constitute a new riding, will have the offer of Mr. E. C. Cuffs services for the coming three years, aim] as Mr. Cuff is a gentleman well known and respected throughout the district, the county will in all probability be saved the cost of an election in this ridiim.
