VALEDICTORY. A most enjoyable evening was held in the Aka Aka Hall on Friday to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. Glass, who are leaving the district. Mr. Glass has been a member of the factory staff for some time past. Mr. Bently, in making a very complimentary speech, showed how highly respected Mr. Glass was by his fellowworkers. In bringing his speech to a close Mr. Bently asked Mr. Glass to accept as a token of esteem a beautiful wallet containing a sum of money from the suppliers of the factory. Mr. Glass, in accepting the gift, thanked the suppliers for the pleasant way in which they bade him farewell. After the singing of "for They are Jolly Good rellows," thiee cheers were given for the guests. Dancing was continued till an early hour in the morning, music beingsupplied by Mr. T. Cowel. Mr, J. Jolly acted as M.C.
