PAPAKURA.

TENNIS CLUB BALL,

A ball, which it is expected will be one of the largest yet held in the district, is to be given next Wednesday night by the Papakura Tennis Club. A large committee of the ladies of the club have supper arrangements in hand, and the services of Meredith's Orchestra have been obtained to provide the music. Cars have already been engaged to bring in people from most of the surrounding districts, so that a record attendance is expected. The committee hope to raise sufficient funds to lay down new courts, the- need for which is a matter of public interest, and with this object in view it is hoped that the ball should be a complete success.
