SKATING. This afternoon and evening; also Thursday afternoon and evening. LYCEUM PICTURES. "The Whirl of Life," to be shown at the Premier Hall to-morrow (Wednesday) evening, is a picture that has special appeal, inasmuch as it introduces to Pukekohe audiences two people in the persons of Mrs Irene Castles and her husband, Captain Castles. They are the winsome couple who make society dancing the craze of eveify capital in the world. The picture is built as a drama, and gives the life story of this wonderful couple from their first meeting on the beach to all the scenes of dancing and splendour in modern cafes and theatres. Scene after scene of the great society dancing resorts, and introducing jazz, tickletoe. walking waltz, pavanne. Castle waltz. Castle one-step, and all the latest fancy dancing. The picture rtuns from 8 to 9.30 p.m., after which the wrestling match takes place. The prices for to-morrow evening, including both shows, is 3s. 2s and Is (plus tax). Childnen half-price. WRESTLING MATCH. PREMIER HALL—TO-MORROW NIGHT. The big wrestling contest, which is causing a lot of interest, w'ill take place to-morrow; night at the Premier Hall between that redoubtable New Zealand champion (Joe Gardiner) and our local champion. The match is for a purse of £2O. A firstclass picture entertainment will be shown up till 9.30, and then immediately after the match willi take place." As both men are pretty evenly matched a great struggle should eventuate, which no doubt will be worth going many miles to witness. Ring seats can be reserved at The Bookery.
