Mr. R. F. Websj»r, Pi'esident of the Pukekohe Chanfter of Commerce, has been appointed district coroner, vice Mr. Cecil Roadlap, who has left the district. Mr. Webster is an old justice of the peace, and for some time has acted in the capacity of acting-coroner.
It is with regret that we have to record the death of Mi* Audrey Gertrude Morrison, wife of Mr. Ernest J. Morrison, licensee of the Waiuku Hotel, and yougest daughter of Mr. and Mrs G." J. Wynyard of Calliope Road, Devonport. which took place at Waiuku on Saturday morning. The deceased was widely known and highly respected by all with whom she came in contact. The funeral It ook place on-. Sunday at O'Neil's Point Cemetery, and was largely attended.
The death occurred at Pukekohe West on Saturday last of Mr Walter Steenson, sixth son of Mrs Phoebe Steenson, and the late Mr. William Steonson. after a life of lingering and painful illness, borne with Christian fortitude. Deceased was about 34 years of age. The funeral took place at the Pukekohe Cemetery yesterday afternoon, and was largely attended.
The death occurred on May 13, 1920, fifom the effects of wounds received while on active service, of Mr David Hunter Palmer, second son of Mr. David Palmer, of Bowling Avenue, Epsom, and grandson of Mr. James McMurtrie of Drury, at the early age of 27 years. Deceased was formerly a member of the 11th, North Auckland Mounted Rifles, Regiment. The funeral took place on Saturdav.
