FRANKLIN WINTER SHOW
OPENS TO MORROW. Elaborate arrangements are complete for the opening of the Franklin Winter Show to-morrow, and providing there is fine weather a large crowd is expected. The show will be open to the public at 2 p.m. tomorrow, and at 10 a.m. on each successive day of the show. Sir Frederick Lang will officially open the show 1 on Thursday at 2 p.m. CANVAS TOWN. "Canvas Town," the home of the side-shows at the Winter Show, will be lighted with electricity, and it comprises all sorts of shows. The proprietor of the Onehunga zoo is sending up a collection of animals. There are circuses, merry-go-rounds, airships, hooplas; in fact, at night it will look more like a pictuie from Fairyland or a scene fifom the Arabian Nights than a winter show. All sorts of amusements will be there. Never since the last Auckland Exhibition has the Auckland Province seen such a carnival of excitement. Bring the children, they will enjoy everv minute spent at the Winter Show.
