PUKEKOHE COURTHOUSE

NEW BUILDING TO BE ERECTED. WORK COMMENCED. For some time past the public of Pukekohe have been wondering when the promised new courthouse was to be erected. Last week a commencement was made in dismantling the old courthouse. We understand that the old structure is to be removed to the side of the section in order to allow space for the up-to-date building, and in future will be used entiiply as police olliies. While the new courthouse and police offices are in the course of erection, the police offices are to be found in. the Masonic Hall, where temporary offices have been seamed. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on week-days, and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays, while the usual sittings of the Magistrate's Court will also be held in the Masonic Hall.
