ELECTRICITY CONSUMERS

ECONOMY URGED.

DURING SHOW DAYS.

Owing to the gfleat increase of electric current required to light the Winter Show buildings, an urgent appeal is made by the Borough Council to all consumers of electricity to economise as much as possible, and to use not more than is absolutely necessary during the four days of the Show.

By acceding to the request user£ of electrical current will not only assist the Borough Council to meet with the increased demand, but will also assist to make the illuminations at the Show much brighter t'.|\n would be the case under ordinary circumstances.

All are aware that the engines and dynamo at the power-house are working to their fullest capacity in ordinary times, and it will be difficult for the power-house now to cope with the demand, especially in view of the large amount of current required at the showgrounds during the evenings. Without a decent light the Show in the evenings would be a failure, and in view of making the Show a brilliant success, users of electric 'current are urged to fall in with the Borough Council's request.
