WINTER SHOW ENTHUSIASTS

j HELPFUL HINTS. A few good hints as to the Franklin Winter Show, to be held next May, were given by one of the jud-.es at the show just passed (Mr. W. Runcinaan, Matangi), at the reception to Friday night. Jwr Runciman was quite confident thai a winter show would be highly successful. Franklin had the soil, the situation, and climate. The grounds were near the railway station, which was excellent for the detraining and entraining of stock as they came and went. People could get accommodation right up the line to Auckland city. There was room for poultry and pig sections, and also scope for big exhibits of farm machinery. Athletic and horse events could be helo. Also, fat stock could be exhibited. One way and another Franklin was greatly favoured.
