BOWLING
PUKEKOHE V. HUNTLY. FORMER VICTORIOUS. On Saturday last, four rinks representing the Pukekohe Bowling Club, journeyed to Huntly to meet the home team. The visitors were met by representatives of the Huntly Club and shown around the town and over the green, afterwards being entertained at lunch. Shortly after lunch, the rinks visited the green ancl then commenced the first inter-club match ever played on the Huntly grounds. Both clubs were successful in two games, but on the aggregate Pukekohe won by 9 points. The rinks and scores are:— Pukekohe.—Hogan, Pulman, Pollock, Lawrie (s) 15. Huntly.—Boyd, McDiarmid, McLaren, Littleproud (s) 26. Pukekohe.—Cuff, Plevdell, J. Blake, W. Blake (s) 29. Huntly. -Thompson, Dick, Braithwaite, Turton (s) 31. Pukekohe. —Adolph, Moore, Landon, Fitness (s) 18. Huntly. Harrison, Cunningham, Dawson (s) 14. Pukekohe. Higginson, Crosbic, D. Roulsion, Clarke (s) 30. Huntly. -Lindsay, Shaw, George, Harris (s) 12. Totals: Pukekohe, 92; Huntly, 83.
Pukekohe thus won bv 9 points. A return match will be played at Pukekohe on Saturday, February 21.
