Mr J. Jones, auctioneer, City Markets, reports sales for week ending 10th January 1920. The market this week has been unsteady and values in most lines are easier. Potatoes show a firming tendency and poultry came forward in heavy supply and values are lower in all lines. Chickens and old dncks are jot in demand, this being caused by the high cost of feed. Good heavy birds are still in strong demand. Pig market easier Fruit values lowering from day to day. Onion market steady. Butter and eggs show no change in value.
