WEDDING BELLS
IRVINE-LINDNER A wedding of considerable local interest was solemnised at the Anglican Chiuch, Tuakau, on Wednesday test, the contracting parties being Mr J. A. Irvine and Miss A. Lindner, both ot T.i -kau. The bride, who looked charming, ~as attired in a creme silk gown, relieved with bead trimming, while she also wore the usual orthodox veil and orange blossoms, the train being lined with shell pink silk. The bridesmaids were Miss Doris Irvine, who was attired in a white silk dress, and Miss Eva Lindner, who wore a white muslin frock. Mr H. Lee, a returned soldier acted as best man. After the ceremony a large number of guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast at Mrs Harrison's residence (mother of the bridegroom), when the usual toasts were honoured The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome set of ebony brushes, and to the bridesmaids, gold bangles. The young couple were the recipients of numerous and costly presents, including a few cheques. The bride's going away drees was of navy gabardine, with hat of plum velvet, trimmed with pink crepe de chine.
