One of the most important business transactions that have taken place in Tuakau for some time was completed during last week, when the Free Stores were acquired from Mr H. E. Outred by Messrs Tapper Brother?, Mr A. H. Tapper, chemist and clerk to the Tuakau Town Board, being a member of the firm. The business was originally founded in 1903 by Messrs Tapper Brothers, who carried it on for about seven years. In 1910 they disposed of their interest to Mr G. Sharman, who, in turn, sold out to Mr H. B Free, who bestowed the name of the "Free Stores" on the i premises. Mr Free, after being proprietor for a number of years, sold '. out to Geo. Thompson, who, in turn, passed his interests on to Mr H. E. Outred. Messrs Tapper Brothers , having again come on the soene, and bought from Mr Outred, the business thus falls into the hands of the original founders.
