BUCKLAND.
A meeting ef the Buckland Fallen Soldiers War Memorial Committee was held in the Hall on Thursday last, Mr E. Allan presiding. A number of photos and plans from monumental masons were examined and it was decided to write to the firms for a sketch and an estimate of an original desig l for Buckland Replies from the Acting P«ime Minister re war trophies and from the Railway Department re land were discussed. Matters will soon be far enough advanced to lay before a public meeting when an active campaign for the recessary funds will be inaugurated.
