OTAHUHU.
A gymnastic display of boys and girls belonging to the Wesleyan Gymnasium Club was given in the Public Hall on Monday night last. Despite the unfavourable weather the hall was well filled, almost every available seat being occupied. The performances of the pupils showed extreme proficiency and reflected great credit upon the Instructor, Mr H. St Martin, besides being a pleasing culmination to the season's tuition. The various items, which consisted of feats on the parallel bars, dumb bell drill, high jump, pyramids, comic boxing, fancy march, wand drill, wrestling and tug-of-war, were all greatly appreciated by the rtators. During the evening Mrs Souster and Mr A. Trenwith (Presidents of the Girls and Boys Clubs respectively) presented the prizes won during the season, the recipients being the Misses St George, Logan, Cameron, Nicholls, Bycroft and Kemp, Messrs H. Hunter, Graham, Furguson and Trenwith. A presentation was also made to Miss Y. Kemp for the assistance she had rendered during the season as pianist.
