With reference to the complaint mado by the Board, the owner of the Tuakau Hotel, as referred to at the last meeting, that the condition of the septic tank at the hotel was not satisfactory, the Chairman reported that lie had since seen Mr. Foley, the owner, on the subject. Mr. Foley now wrote, stating that the tank was working all right, and wa* no more injurious than ordinary drainage. It was important, he said, that a connection should be ma>le with the railway pipe, as that was the only means of draining that part of the town, and, as intimated to the Chairman, he was prepared to pay for the work of piping the connection.

After an informal discussion, it was decided to adhere to the former resolution, that a proper septic tank should be provided to the satisfaction of the Board, and Mr, Foley should be notified accordingly. FOOTBATHS.

He. however, recognised that a post, as suggested, would be a convenience to the public.

On the motion being put to the meeting, it was agreed to, the surfaceman to carry out the work. GENERAL.
