Apart from the canvass for funds, the main item next week in connection with "The Great Effort" in Pukekohe on behalf of the Bed Cross appeal will be a special picture entertainment at the Premier Hall on Tuesday, when •The Babes in the Wood," as adapted from Messrs J C Williamson's pantomime, will be screened. There will be • matinee for children in the afternoon and the programme will be repeated in the evening. As the expenses of the entertainment are being defrayed by Mr A B Barter, the whole of the proceeds will go to assist the Red CJrow cause,
