OTAFIUHU BOWLING CLUB. The animal meeting of the Otahuhu Bowling Club was held in the pavilion on Monday last, the Presi dent (Mr 8. A Fearnley) being in ihe chair. The report and balance sheet were read and adopted, the Treasurer (Mr A. Carson) receiving special mention on the satisfactory state of the Club's finance. In inter-club games the Club had been fairly successful during the season, winning five gamf'S rut of -ix

Officers fur the ensuing season were elected as follows : President, W. McFadden ; Vice-President, A Carson, who was re flected as treasurer ; Secretary, 0. K Whitmore ; Assistant Secretary, S A. Fearnley ; Auditor, Mr Humphries , Delegates to centre, the President and S. E Harper ; Ma'ch Committee, the President, 0. Wood and 8. E. Harper ; SJu Selector (re-elected), 8. A. Fearnlry; General Committee; A. W. Wood, K B. Todd, C. Buker, J. Hebdeu, W. Parkin and E. Builey. Trophies won by members, to be presented at a forthcoming social, are as follow s : —Champion singles, S. E. Harper; Champion pairs, Messrs Stiii g-s and Spurway ; Handicap pairs, Messrs Cook and Harper ; Second year players, Mr Cook; l'trceutage fours, Messrs McFadden, Parkin, Sturges and Kemplay. The New Year's Day Tournament was won by Messrs McFadden and May (tie) Skip and C. B. Whitmore, Lead and the Labour Day tournament by Messrs Sturges and McFadden. A vote of thanks to the out-going Committee concluded the meeting.

As a means of assisting the Otahuhu effort for the Red Cross appeal the shop adjoining Mr John Todd's pren ie< i has b?en secured for ',;;•

gale of gifts of produce, home uiado cakea, preserves, needlework, poultry, etc , and the same will be open every Wednesday and Friday commencing next Wednesday. Donations of gifts of the lines indicated *rill be thankfullv received.
