HAY STACK BURNT Mr Wm. Rasmussen had the misfortune to lose a* the result of a fire last Thursday a stack of new hay of 14 or 15 tons and of £BO to £9O value The stack had been well built ami was covered with iron. The cause of the fire is unknown. At midday when Mr Rasmussen went through ihe paddock in wbich the stick was standing it was apparently saf.) hut nlmiit three-quarters of an hour later it was a mass of fla aes an<l was completely destroyed. The stack was uninsured.
