BOMBAY

Favoured with glorious summer weather the Bombay Methodist Sunday School held their annual picnic in Mr A. French's paddock on Wednesday of last week, when there was a good number of children and adults present including the Kev J. F. and Mrs Martin of Pukekohe. Various games were entered into heartily. In the married women's race Mrs George Common was the winner, the prize being a handsome work basket. Miss Vera Barker was the successful contestant in the young lady's race Toys were distributed to the children and refreshments were provided and a most enjoyable day was spent. The Sunday School Anniversary services were held on Sunday last when the Bev J. F. Martin occupied the pulpit in the morning and Mrs Martin in the evening.
