FRANKLIN COUNTY FINANCE
The following report as to tie County finance was submitted by the County Clerk (Mr Alan P. Day) at the meeting of the Franklin County Council on Thursday of last week, viz: County fund account: The overdraft at the National Bank is £14,363 8s 3d. Transfers from Loan accounts, amounts due fur Government grants expended, temporary advances to loan accounts and cash in hand due to this account amount to approximately £2OOO. The accounts now due and payable from this account amount to £706 5s 101 made up as foliows: General, including crusher, plant, etc., £289 6m 9d; Awbitu Riding, £42 4b 71; Drury Riding, £55 184 7d; Hunui Biding, £2 18s 3d; Mttuku Ki.iinir, £94; Mercer Biding £54 12s 6d; Pukekohe Biding, £BB 19s 9d; Waipipi Riding, £7 19s; Waiuku Riding, £57 16* sd; Interest Account, £l2 10*. Loan Accounts: The following are the credit balances on various loans: Hill district No 2 lo in, £B3 Is 9d; Hunua Riding roads loan, £3l 6s 9d; Pratt's hill deviation loan, £lB4 ss7d, less £35 lis 3d accounts payable; N««-iles wharf loan, £lO 9s 9d, less £lO 9s accounts payable; Brown's road loan (Tuakau) £lB7 12s 2d; Hogwood's deviation (Waiau) loan, £6 13s 8d; Jamieson's road (Bucklaud) loan, £sl; Arrowsville road (Aka Aka) loan, £4l'B 0s 9d; Moumoukai road loan, £B2l ss.
